HOME - INTRODUCTION
Teens Focus International (TFI) is a nongovernmental, nonpolitical and nonprofit organization that works with kids, teenagers and youth.
TFI was founded on October 10, 2007 on the Buduburam Refugee Camp in Ghana by a Liberian classroom teacher, Mathias L. Kamara.
The civic crisis in Liberia did not only force the collapse of Education, Health, Economic, Social and Political structures of the country, but it also affected the moral fabric of the Liberian society among which is the decadent character inherited by the children, teenagers and youth during the civil war. The experiences of most teenage girls serving as bread winners for their families or catering for their own needs at an early age continues to undermine their ability to manage themselves. This continues to increase the number of teenage pregnancy in the country and world at large. The protection of children after the crisis has intensified, but the challenge is still enormous with limited capacity of organizations interest to rebuild the kids character or intervene.
About seven hundred and fifty (750) kids, teenagers and youth participated in TFI launching on September 23, 2011 in Ghana. 125 of them benefited from our Educational Assistance program which 73 of them were girls while 52 were boys.
We are always looking for awesome people.
